In 2004, Temple City High School dedicated a stadium to Bob Hitchcock. Bob Hitchcock was a well-known high-school football coach in Southern California, and his team won seven CIF championships during his 22-year tenure. He retired from coaching in 1981, but his legacy lives on in the new stadium. The school’s football program has won a record of 196 games under Hitchcock. Bob Hitchcock’s teams have won 11-Rio Hondo League championships and have made the CIF playoffs for 20 of the 22 years he coached.
