Judge William O. Beach was instrumental in passing legislation to revive Tennessee’s wine industry. Beach had long wished to create a commercial winery in Clarksville. He planted a large vineyard in the early 1980s and founded Beachaven Vineyards & Winery LTD in 1986. Beachaven quickly established itself as an outstanding winery with its vintage consistency and high-quality wines. Judge Beach died in 1991, but his legacy lives on at Beachaven.
Wine tasting tours are available at the winery, which opened on June 1, 1986. The winery purchases grapes from across the U.S. as well as abroad. In addition to offering free tastings, the winery hosts outdoor jazz concerts. At the end of the day, you can relax in the picnic area and enjoy a concert with live music.
