Another exciting development is the construction of the Bear Creek Athletics Center. The new facility will replace the existing track and raise the standards of the facility to international levels. The City presented its results from a feasibility study in October 2019 and will hold a public open house in August 2021. During the open house, the public can view the final results of the project. A sculptural installation by Melanie Cassidy and a sonic environment by Michael Filimowicz will make the park more accessible to the public.
