You’ll find plenty to do during your stay at the Texas Star Golf Course in Euless. It has a hill country feel despite its location. This 18-hole, par-71 course, designed by Keith Foster, tips out at 6,936 yards. You’ll find old oaks and Hurricane Creek lining the fairways. The Clubhouse offers a wide variety of social events. You’ll also save money on Conference Center room rentals, and Golf Shop merchandise, as well as guest green fees.
Aside from the golf course, you’ll also find a number of other attractions in the area. For example, you can spend the afternoon exploring Heritage Park or shopping in the area. A family-friendly neighborhood like Morrisdale Estates sits southwest of the city, near Texas Star Golf Course. This neighborhood has rolling hills and is close to numerous shops and restaurants. There are also a variety of family-friendly subdivisions that border the course.
If you’re a fan of Dangerous Keith, the course is designed by a Texas native. No. 15, for example, is a Par-5 that is twice crossed by a deep concrete creek. This creek came packaged with the former industrial lot. This course has its fair share of hazard holes. On No. 18, you’ll need to carry a pond and creek to make it past the second tee.
There are plenty of amenities in the clubhouse, but the driving range is a bit out of the way. You can take a group shuttle to the driving range, which was about 5-10 minutes from the clubhouse. Overall, the course is well-maintained, with some “funky” holes. But there’s nothing to worry about; it’s a great course for testing your skills. And the restaurant is great, too.
