When it comes to water recreation, the Apex Centre is the place to be. This 80,000 square foot facility has a competitive indoor pool, two outdoor leisure water, and a supervised playroom. The center is also a great place to get exercise with its LifeFitness and Precor fitness equipment. A basketball court and elevated track are also available. You can enjoy a day of tennis at the outdoor courts or a great workout at the indoor track.
Although it is a family facility, visitors should consider wearing proper attire and footwear. Swimsuits must be family-friendly, and cutoffs are not acceptable. Closed-toe shoes are necessary for safety. While you are at the Apex Centre, you may bring a cooler, but no glass containers. Additionally, no alcohol or chewing gum is permitted. There is a children’s program for kids as well, so they will want to bring their own food.
The aquatics center was built on 21 acres of land in Gabe Nesbitt Park. The Apex Centre will feature an indoor and outdoor competition pool, a hot pool, and a fitness center with LifeFitness equipment and Precor machines. It will also have basketball courts and a running track. It is expected to open to the public in March. In addition to the pools, the Apex Centre will include multi-purpose rooms and other amenities.
